DOG CONTAINMENT FAQ's To give customers more idea on what a dog containment system is, its functions and advantages, we enumerated some helpful dog containment faqs below. |
||
1.
Why should I buy a dog containment system?
Instead of hiring expensive dog trainers,
dog containment is one of the cheapest ways
to train the dogs. The system is especially
designed to keep the dog within a given boundary
or keep them a distance from the off limit
areas in the home. 2. What is an in-ground dog containment system? Basically, there are three (3) parts in a dog containment system. These are the Transmitter, Wire, and the Collar Receiver. The Transmitter is plugged into a standard outlet and releases a radio signal, while the Wire is a waterproof wire that buried and connected to the transmitter that makes a boundary to contain the dog. The collar receiver is placed on the dog’s neck. While the transmitter emits a radio signal that travels through the wire, the receiver on the dog’s collar picks up the radio signal. It will then alert the dog as he get near the boundary (buried wire). If he still persists to go towards the boundary wire, he will receive a correction from the radio signal. 3. Can I contain more than one dog? Absolutely. These dog containment systems allow additional collar receivers to be purchased separately. Please see our selection of dog containment accessories and the one that will fit the purchased system. 4. Is there other way that I can contain my dog without burying the wire? Yes. Don’t be disturbed by the impression that the wire use in the “Underground Containment Systems” needs to be buried “underground”. One of the best and reliable ways to bury the wire without the hassle of digging the yard is through the use of Wire Securing installation Staples. Please see our Above Ground Installation for the easy steps. Check other related dog containment faqs for more information about this. 5. Are indoor zone dog containment systems only to be used inside my home? Though the indoor zones will ideally work for indoor use, they can also be used outdoors. However, in doing so, make sure that the range they operate will meet the needs.
